About Bruce

Bruce Culmer was born in London and was a boyhood pal and high school classmate of Mike Widener. Bruce studied geology, geography and fine arts at Emory & Henry College. Bruce made his career in screen and digital printing, but has been an avid photographer since snapping with his first SLR camera (a Kalimar) at age 8. Bruce’s photography appears in trade publications, including Aviation Week, on his Facebook page and in Mike’s office. Bruce lives with his wife Kathleen near Hood, Virginia, where he spots birds and photographs wildlife and airplanes.
