Hack into adventure
Welcome to Jocelyn's world.
Jocelyn Lim has created something that makes her the most wanted woman on the planet. With nefarious groups from both sides of the law after her, she uses all her skills to seek anonymity and peace. With her friends and colleagues Gil LeCroy and Monk Ellard and a host of shadow figures, Jocelyn navigates a world she never wanted to be a part of.
Over the course of her adventures, two paths emerge. One threatens their mission’s success and personal safety, while the other jeopardizes global financial markets via a viral firestorm. Choosing their approach, the group plunges into crisis mode involving Russian Navy helicopter assaults, a railcar assassination plot by jihadists, and Jocelyn’s arrest by the FBI. Readers are propelled through Northern European and North American settings, joining in the pursuit of Jocelyn Lim’s freedom to live unharassed.

About the author
Mike Widener lives chiefly in Arizona. He published his first fiction in high school and dabbled in the writer’s life briefly in his early 20s (during the 1970s) while working as a public and academic librarian.
This is a book teens and adults can read and discuss with their parents and grandparents. This is a time for thinking about what we cherish and, therefore, what we must rebuild. It reminds us that life, however painful and difficult, is resplendent with worthwhile experiences deserving preservation.

Fishbein, Ascending injects a paranormal twist into a coming-of-age tale narrated by two boys recalling their mutual bond. This work begins in Italy in 2001, cutting quickly to another bucolic setting (Peck, an enclave south of Wichita) during 1968-71. The “abnormal” element requires reader untangling what’s historical and scientific from what’s surreal. Matt Fishbein, boy scientist, discovers at 13 that he can float – but is that really happening?
